My First Road Trip to See The Dead & My 2nd Show
My brother & I lived in Atlanta at the time. And I'm not exactly sure how we got the tix for this show. I think we did a charge by phone but not sure. We had a friend, Celia, that had moved to Orlando & was working for MGM. Anyway, my brothers best friend, Chris, was Celia's boyfriend. Well Chris's mother had already bought Chris roundtrip airfare to Orlando to see Celia. And she let us use her credit card to rent a car so my brother & I could drive there. So we drove Orlando & spent the night with Celia. Next day we get Chris at the airport & head for Miami. Chris wanted to drive & after driving from Atlanta to Orlando, my bro & I were more than willing to let him drive. Only thing was, after the show, I thought he was going to drive us back to Celia's place in Orlando. Well we fell asleep in the backseat & he woke us up at 3am wanting to get a hotel room in Key Largo. Although, I was kinda pissed off about him adding so much extra mileage to the rental car that my brother & I were going to have to pay for, I also kind of appreciated it to cuz the water there was incredibly beautiful!!! Wish we had had more time to enjoy it but I do remember how the water was such a different shade of blue. And yes it was a great show! Just listen for yourself & make up your own mind. When I go back thru all these shows I've been to, I remember the people I was with & the interactions we had during the show. The speculation during the set break of the 2nd set opener & other things we did.
